My journey into the Kingdom of God began in 1992, when I was 14 years old. It was during that time that I encountered Christ and was led to salvation under the voice and leadership of Pastor A. R. Bernard while attending CLC, now known as the Christian Cultural Center, in Brooklyn, New York.
Throughout those early years of learning God’s Word, I began to understand the importance of discipline, sacrifice, and surrender. I learned that some lessons are better understood when they are experienced and felt. Through this journey, I was privileged to experience different denominations, ministries, and expressions of the body of Christ. I served wherever I was needed, allowing my love for God and my zeal for ministry to shape my path continually.
In 2001, I was led to serve as a charter member of The Church of the Remnant in Harlem, New York, alongside my late wife, Katherine M. Harris (formerly Katherine M. Dukes). During this season of ministry, I received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and became actively involved in preaching, evangelism, and outreach ministry both within the inner city and abroad.
In 2003, I was appointed and ordained as a Minister by the late Bishop Clinton L. Hayward of Dabar Tabernacle of Deliverance in the Bronx, New York. As my wife and I established our lives in Mount Vernon, New York, we were married in November 2009. After more than 14 years of faithful service, I was ordained as an Elder in The Church of the Remnant in 2015.
While we were settled in Yonkers, New York, an untimely and difficult circumstance entered our lives. In October 2016, my beloved wife, Katherine, succumbed to her ailments and went home to be with the Lord.
Following her passing, I stepped away from active church ministry for a season. I needed time to seek God and gain a deeper understanding of my purpose after having devoted so much of my life to ministry. In that season of reflection, prayer, and healing, the Lord answered my prayers and blessed me with one of the greatest gifts a man could ask for—a loving wife and partner, Erica Ivy Harris.
On December 19, 2021, Erica and I were happily married. Together, we have embraced the call to ministry and are now establishing Manifested Presence Ministries in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
As we continue this journey together, it is my prayer that the love of Christ will be clearly exemplified through our lives, our marriage, and our ministry. My desire is to serve God faithfully, reach those who are hurting and searching, and help lead many back to their first love—Jesus Christ.
This journey has taught me that ministry is not simply about a title or position; it is about serving, surrendering, enduring, and allowing God to use every season of our lives for His glory.
I am grateful for where God has brought me, thankful for where He has placed me, and excited for where He is taking us next.
